ABOUT
Welcome to Number Three, a small Scottish cottage available for short retreats and well positioned for visits to Edinburgh, The Highlands, Fife and St Andrews.
~
Our little cottage loves all who stay in her and is said to give everyone a welcome hug when they arrive. With beautiful views of the Scottish countryside, she is a restful retreat and a gentle reminder of a slower, more relaxed existence. There are walks from the doorstep, a garden room hideaway and a calmness, that will help you naturally unwind.

ROOMS
Number Three, offers one king size and one double bedroom upstairs. The tartan bathroom is downstairs, with a simple electric shower over the bath. Also downstairs is a small farmhouse kitchen, sitting room with wood burning stove and a cosy study.
~
All rooms are designed with a nod to Scotland: her history and her landscape.
INFORMATION
We welcome you with a small basket of local produce to start your break and store a range of complimentary tea's, coffee's, herbs and spices.
Complimentary Wifi throughout the cottage, Sonos speaker and wall mounted tv (in case you get tired of the view?). The TV uses WiFi only, so if this problematic, there is an eclectic range of good old DVD's for your entertainment.
In Scotland, we are out in all weathers but if the 'dreich' is chilling your bones, we suggest you stay in, light the stove, make soup, open some lunchtime wine, watch a film, or snuggle away in the study with a good book. In the evening, head up to the garden room and indulge in a fondue or raclette, by candlelight. There are games and cards in the drawers.
We very much love our well behaved floofy friends but we have very pale carpets (not entirely the wisest decision we made!).
~
The small rear courtyard has a hose and the laundry room has plenty of old doggy towels and dog shampoo, for muddy canine recovery.
~
To maintain standards that others can enjoy and to ensure the comfort of those friends who are allergic to animal hair, dogs are not allowed upstairs or on the furniture.
Your diligence is appreciated.
The water pressure for the bath can require a little loving patience (time enough for a pre-bath tipple?) and your morning shower might be more of a gentle 'sea breeze' than a raging 'monsoon'...
